Video ringtones on the 5600
I understand the video ringtone feature of the 5600 may be a way around having to upload m4a files. Apparently, any file I can save as a 3g2 file is supposed to be available to the 5600 as a ringtone. There are many conversion programs out there that convert MP3, MP4, WAV and many other formats to 3g2. After converting my MP3 I have followed the few directions I could find: I established the USB connection, deposited the 3g2 file in the SANYO100 folder in the video section of the miniSD. I go to settings, ringtone type, find the file, select it as a ringtone and get the error message "Warning! This file cannot be set" ...whatever that really means. I can even play the file, and it plays fine. But I can't use it as ringtone.
Any ideas on how to make this work?
And any source of general information about what video ringtones are, how they work, what acceptable formats are, etc.?
Thank you.
