Bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2?
Actually, I've been wondering this myself. I would think they'd make it 1.2...at least I'd hope, anyway. If so, I'd be tempted to get the HS850 along with this phone. 😎

The current data throughput speed of Bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2 is fast enough for the current throughput of Verizon's EVDO service. Bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2 support data throughput speeds up to 721 kbps. Verizon's EVDO service (i.e. Broadband Access) has "typical speeds of 400-700 kbps". But once Verizon ups the speed of EVDO, then the Bluetooth connection will act as a bottleneck.

True - but the BT will not work for that feature anyway, as VZW will cripple that part of BT. They want you to pay to transfer files, and pay for connections instead of for free using BT. Too bad...

Vzw has not and will not block the DUN profile for blue tooth..which mean that you will be able to connect via BT to a laptop or a desktop to use this phone as a modem
best part is that I beleive that when you suscribe to VCast your data usuage is unlimted for 15.00 for DSL speeds doesn't seem to bad to me

That is of course if VCast is available in your area - if it is not, then your are SOL.

According to the Vcast brochure from Verizon you won't be able to use the EV-DO network for internet access from your laptop using the phone as the modem. The back of the brochure has the limitations printed in bold. Vcast seems to only be used for entertainment purposes. IMO it's just another way for them to charge for features have limited usefulness. Until I get to see the features of EV-DO in action i'm skeptical of its usefulness.
