😳
The 815 probably will NOT be released because apparently Motorola has pissed off Verizon somehow AND he also clearly stated that Verizon WILL NOT accept the E815 with the current charger port it comes with. The tech stated that future ports will be arriving with a USB type charger port.
I myself have decided against the E 815 simply because of the the delay in it's arrival.

That tech is full of $#!T. The A840 just came out with the same port. Moto has the most top of the line phones with VZW there is no way that VZW will throw that away over a squabble. beside that I am a tech at a VZW store and we don't know if and when a phone will come out until mere weeks, maybe a month at most before the phone comes out. You were just feed a line of crap from a tech who didn't give a $#!T.

Was anything this guy told me true??? Like the charger port?
This I do know from my experience. EVERY Verizon store, kiosk, push cart....NEVER recommends motorola, they ALWAYS push LG.
Why?
I think I know why but would like to hear it from you.
Thanks 😳

😁 Well, hello pupils, it has been a while-huh? As, correct as i always stand b4 the Motorola will always out perform various LG handsets, it just depends on what features you are comparing on. I have seen various LG's come to the store brutally Damaged and will not see another day, on the other hand I see v265's tossed in the water, ground and still work thru amazement? It all depends on what you here(monkey see-monkey do).
Anyways, I am getting this phone to test 2morrow and will let you pupils know on what I think-k!
Bye Aldcon 😎

Not to threadjack, but yes, it depends what features you are comparing between Motorola and other phone brands.
I buy Motorola because they never break and almost never need fixing. Its that simple.
My buddy was thrown off a dock in the water, and his phone was completely submersed for probably 30 seconds, and the phone worked fine after drying out. I've dropped my phone more times than I can remember on hard surfaces like concrete and they have never lost a tick.
The LG's and such don't hold up this well, and if they aren't working sometimes, then they are useless to me.
Just my .02.

Oh my god. It is so hard to get a good TRUETHFULL opinion about Motorola and verizon. Anyway I just want to know how this new phone "E815" is going to hold up for VZW. So for the tech that said he was getting the phone in the next few days to test out please post your professional input on the thing. This would greatly help me and other VZW customers out there make a choice for once. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF VZW IS GOING TO LIMIT THE BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONALITY OF THE PHONE LIKE THAY DID WITH THE V710!!!!!!! THAT HAS TO BE THE GAYEST THING VZW HAS EVER DONE WITH A PRODUCT.

What are you thinking, ofcourse they are going to disable the object exchange profile. Good lord man why on earth do you think this e815 would be any different.

Motorolas and LG's are the top two performing phones on a CDMA network. Nokia is good too, but the service providers aren't willing to pay for the high end handsets, thus creating the myth that CDMA Nokias are not good phones. We (my repair center) see just as many LG problems as we do Motorolas. Same cracks in housings, same charger port issues, same cracked LCD's, etc.... The biggest difference is Motorola will be a little more generous when supporting what they manufacture. Both are great phones. From a repairability standpoint, Moto. From cool features, it's a toss-up 😎

Because lg is a toy that anyone can learn in 5-10 miniutes (including sales reps), Moto requires you to sit down with is and tweak, learn, and adapt (which most sales reps care not to do). If you want an honest oppinion about a phone ask for someone who has it. I know 6 VZW employees who have and love the 710, and numerous more that want it or the 840. I also know numerous VZW employees who have and love lg (6100, 8000, etc). if you dont have the phone and haven't sat down to learn it you probibly aren't going to like it (people are afraid of the onknown).
Another reason reps shy away from Moto is horror stories about the port, if you treat it right (dont talk on it with the cla plugged in) and if the port stops working take it in to be cle...

I agree. Most sales reps find the v710 too difficult to use and prefer to cell LG's because they're simple thus creating a faster sale. LG's have pretty much become the "go to" phone for Verizon sales reps, regardless of how good they really are.
I personally prefer the v710 to ANY LG currently available and am 99.9% sure I will upgrade to the e815 rather then the 8100. LG has been disappointing me time and time again. LG to me is like a food you know you don't like but every so often try it again...and are again reminded why you don't like it. Then you swear (once more) that you will NEVER try it again.

Thanks for the backup I was expecting someone whining about how good lg is and how it is not just a toy. Glad to see that someone agrees with me.

I love my v710. I haven't had one problem with it, save the crooked camera, which motorola paid me to replace under warranty. (i'm a level 2 moto service center) I agree with both of you that motos are great phones. I have had 4 motos (v60, t720, t730, v710) and have yet to have a charging issue. Plenty of customers have had issues. Once we resolder the port and give them proper care instructions 99.9999% of the time they do not return. I'm just a little picky though: I like my phone to ring and vibe at the same time, not ring then vibe as is moto's custom.

Some on howard forums said said that a Radio Shack Mgr. told him the E815 was pushed back untill October.....I hope this is not true, or the LG VX8100 will be out soon....grrrrr VERIZON!!! 😡
...
Personally i wouldnt believe a word Radio Shack says because they are not verizon they sell phones for several different companies they have too much going to to get anything straight.
