Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

This phone is a piece of sh@*. It's just another v710 crap phone with a different casing.(Yes) the bluetooth profile of object exchange will be removed. The vcast where available is a joke. (pre-recorded junk). And on top of everything the phone is still ugly.
Why on earth would anybody buy a second v710 that verizon is getting sued for. IF your in love with cdma for some reason, switch to sprint at the very least. Atleast Sprint has a couple cool Sanyo phones.
Verizon customers really need to wake up. Don't buy this phone. Don't buy anyphone from verizon, and if you MUST dont buy another v710. Hope this helps guys.

Come on now. Are you really serious? Switch to sprint? Let me fill you in on something. I have had Cell One (Cingular), NEXTEL, and now VZW. I have never had MORE service than I have now. My friend had Sprint for a year. You wanna know why he had it for a YEAR? Cuz he didnt wanna pay to end the contract! Sprint is garbage.

Do you own the v710? if you dont why dont you just go buy it now. why wait for the e815, its the same as the v710. u wont be able to object exchange between two phone much less your computer. Have fun paying for all the get screwed now stuff from verizon. They will make more money and make more cute commericials so you and others will jump on the bandwagon.

Ok here people who already have a early release of the e815 and HAD the V710 can tell a HUGE difference. I should stop there but since this guy is asking for it he is going to get it. I dont know what closet he came out of or what but every company has its faults big deal! Verizon has made the most out of their CDMA network as possible with their get it now program and internet web browser and everything. So what if the bluetooth was a lil crippled i agree with whoever said they dont need a second brain to connect to all that stuff. CDMA rules..bottom line. I'm saying why be all excited over another v710 is just silly. NO OBJECT EXCHANGE. WHY BOTHER with the e815 for the cheesy vcast, its a joke man. I've seen it,pre-recorded junk. If you arnt up for your two year with verizon you will probably be paying over 400hun for this next generation v710. Its the same phone just a different housing. Why not just buy the v710 for 269.00.

I guess you missed the part where i said i know people who had a early release of the e815. Its in a different casing than the v710 for one. Its not tri-mode for 2. Why dont you compare the 2 phones on here first. If you dont have much good to say the phone forget about the phone and dont start a riot about it. People who already have this early release of the phone love the phone. The universal charging port is awesome you dont have to buy a million different chargers like LG or you dont have to slide your phone into a bulky black block looking charger and take your leather case off to do it. V-Cast is not cheesey either ive seen it and soon these phones will be able to carry broadband speeds on the phone. You can download music vid...

Gotta admit. The E815 looks really good. I'm new to this forum, but I've been with Sprint for the past 3 1/2 years. Believe me, I'm ready to switch. As for service, Sprint has been a load of crap in the past few months for me. Thus, the reason for the switch. I've been reading this forum and notice one thing. People who dis the E815 are the same people who think the V710 should have been a laptop. When will people realize it is JUST A CELL PHONE! NOT A FREAKIN' COMPUTER! Natas, if you hate the V710/E815, go back to crappy Cingular, Sprint, or wherever. When you keep getting dropped calls, and voice mails that are and hour late, feel free and complain on how the E815 is just as crappy as the V710, and I'll be watching VCAST on my Verizon EvDO...

the e815 is completely redesigned its not at all the v710 its just same form factor.. the phone just takes the good features of the v710 and makes it better and adds new one... the e815 will definitely be worth it and you can still transfer files via mpt software.. and I own a bmw so I don't care that it doesn't have obex my phone book still transfers to my car... and as for get it now.. if you read people have found a way to get java on the 710 so it'll just be a few months with GIN and I'm sure that java will be available on the 815 also... since coding for motos are usually very similar

I never heard of anything like that Verizon has a extended network thats where they get such a big coverage area by contracting with other companies one of the companies may be Sprint there are so many Verizon contracts with i cant even think of them all. But no i never heard of anything like that i know you can get a text and pix and flix package from Verizon for $5.00 and you can text people in other companies if thats what you mean.
