Release Date Thread for the E815
Alright. I've been reading this forum for less than a month, and I've heard it all. We all know about the "Crippled Bluetooth" that plagued the V710. I know some of you have the phone already for testing purposes, and have used your feedback to help the rest of us out on the functionality improvements over the V710. People voicing strong opinions "For" and "Against" the E815, and even people calling other people "Communists"!?!? Bottom Line is this. Please, I'm asking all of you to just let this thread be strictly used for release date information for the E815. We all have our rights to express our opinions on the matter, but I'd like to have a general consensus from everyone to use this thread only for release date information for the Motor...

I work for Verizon Wireless and they don't even tell us when the phones are coming out until about 2 weeks ahead of time. No one will know when the phone comes out until just before it does so I hope your not expecting anyone to tell you the release date quite yet.

I know that too. The people at the VZW store around my area told me the same thing. Although, I have read reports on howardforums that the phone is in your VZW system. Whether or not that is true can be debatable, but I would like to know 2 weeks before when this phone is going to be released. My contract with crappy Sprint is over, and I plan on switching to VZW. I just want to have the E815 as my first VZW phone experience, and ...

I can verify that in the indirect stores we do not have any 815's in stock yet. I keep checking in our back room but nothing yet. I'll let you guys know as soon as one shows up. 😁

I don't know if it means anything but motorola is having a contest for the 815 and the drawing is not until June 26th. I would bet that this would be around the time the phone will be released through verizon.

No, it doesn't mean anything. We went through the exact same thing with the V710. Motorola has no control over the release date, VZW does. The contest end date is pretty much arbitrary and can be changed as needed.

I dont know but i was at a Verizon Wireless store this Morning and they had huge boxes of cell phones rolling in like no tomorrow so i dont know what phone they are releasing but in the area of Michigan i am from what they do is get the phones in Thursday and release them on Monday. They have done this with a lot of phones one of the most recent the v65p a phone no one even expected to come out and just appeared!

I work for Circuit City, and the VZW store in our store also got a bunch of boxes today. However, they were filled with v710's and that crappy samsung phone. Sorry to burst the bubble guys. I keep asking the VZW guys that work in our store to keep a heads up for me though. I'll let u all know info as soon as i do.

did i miss something? what rebates they already have a $50.00 rebate on the V710 and i dont ever recall a brand new phone that is released getting a rebate.

Did i see a samsung or vox forum or am i still in the MOTOROLA E815 forum here? I said i dont recall new phones coming out with rebates they usually give them out when they are trying to get rid of the old to make room for the new. I know the Verizons stores around my area never released a rebate with new phones it takes away the point of them making their profit. So maybe it was through the company who made the phone instead of Verizon issuing the rebate or you not getting things straight. Plus you still jumped over my first point.
