Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
e815 - update on release as well as look and fell
I literally just got back from my local verizon store (Horsham, PA - suburb of Philadelphia). I inquired about the release of the e815. Interestingly enough, the rep I was working with gave me that "what are talking about" look. However the rep next to him jump in and said "I heard next month". Then mysteriously the rep I was originally working with - "oh - we have a demo model of that phone here already". So that had a demo model behind the counter that he let me looked at.
For those of you wondering about the size, charging port, etc. everything is exactly the same as the V710 -it's the exact same size and that same old crappy charging port. The rep told me everything would be exactly the same as the v710 except the video featur...

I'm shopping & have had poor experience w/VZW so far - & I'm not even a customer yet. lol=lots of lies. Had the LG 8000 & returned it -- was waiting for the 8100 or e815 for Bluetooth but tired of waiting and the problems you mentioned. Considering buying Moto V3Rzr/Cingular. $150 on Amazon less $150 rebate = $0. Would you? 😕

These phones will be well worth the wait.. Don't be so impatient.. You may just find yourself stuck for a year or two with something your not real happy with..

I was contemplating the Razr too, but here why I decided against it.
- Only has 5MB of memory, not expandable.
- The camera is 640x480, for me that is barely worth keeping.
- No video capture
- No streaming video (I think)
