Low ear-piece volume?

Like many of you guys here, I'm trying to decide between e815 and vx8100. One worry I have with e815 though is its ear-piece volume.

The last two Motorola phone I've tried had very low volume (T720, RAZR), where as my vx6000 has loud, crisp sound. Does anyone else find that newer Motorla phones in general have low volume?

It's a shame because my old Timeport 8767 had great sound.

Motorola has clearer sound, whereas LG has louder sound. My v710 is louder than my t720 and v60i were, but it's not as loud as my vx6000 was. I use my bluetooth headset with great regularity, which is a little louder than the speaker itself. Clarity is phenominal on the moto, but the windows need to be up to talk and drive at the same time. Bars and clubs are also tough. Outside with normal wind is ok. "Low" speaker volume is a typical moto thing, to answer your question. They haven't changed the design of the actual speaker that much over the years, just the shape and the phones they go into.
