we just got 20 e815's in my store in the northeast! opened one up to try it out today. a few really logical changes from the 710. mainly the keypad. the keys are shaped more logically and they enlarged the "ok" so it's easier to hit. picture quality is a very small upgrade from the 710. barely noticeable. i really like the finish also. i don't think it will show smudges as much as the 710. also got in the samsung i730 which looks pretty sweet also. by the way, i did see confirmation that circuit city will be releasing them on sunday the 3rd. never seen them do this before. i guess it's because they send out those huge fliers in the sunday paper. not sure if they'll really have any in stock though. they just showed up in the warehouses yeste...

😁 Great to hear someone has actually gotten them in stock. Disappointing part is the news that the LG 8100 will be the first to support Verizon's coming music download service. ☚ī¸

Yea and that was the service that was the delay on releasing these phones. Now it don't look like the E815 will have the service but the LG VX8100 will and i bet that phone wont be out for a little longer do to the fact it will carry that service.

He said it should be out Sunday and verizon stores will have it out a few day later. He was unpacking his his package and said he did not receive it yet, but the warehouse had 3000 in stock. He said he can order one for me, but it will take 2 weeks... I said nah, i wait to get it from you guys. I ask if he gets it tmrw can i buy it. He as long as i dont cause problem... i said sure.

This message was posted in the LG 8100 forum.

From Bloomberg "Lg8100 - News From Vzw Ceo - August!!!". This news piece is legit. My wife works with stocks and has access to Bloomberg. Don't count on seeing it before late July or Aug, which is when VZW is said to launch the Music Service

i can confirm that the 815 still has the same crappy charging port. they seem to show no interest in changing that anytime soon. also on the 8100, late july early august is a safe bet i think. some of the articles on the music on demand thing say "in august," some say "by august" so it's right in there. i'm gonna hold out to compare.

The problem Motorola has with changing the charging port is that the charging port is "Universal" with all its phones and if they change it people would complain that they wouldn't be able to get accessories compatible with their phone. But on the other hand their charging port is what is killing half their phones. If you people think its bad on any of the phones you have try the Motorola A840 global phone out. The phone will fry charging the battery I'm going on my 4th A840 because of the charging port over heats my phone and than fries the phone and the battery. If they made a new port right now and started making new chargers and so forth now and still made the chargers and accessories for the previous phones they made their shouldn't...

yeah, it cracks me up when some people will only buy motorola because they all ready have the accessories. the problem is they replace the accessories every six months cause the prongs break on the chargers. they replace the phone every six months cause it stops charging. it just makes no sense. trippin over dollars to pick up pennies. i think people would be willing to buy new accessories if they made a new standard that was really durable.

I agree with you because other than charging port Motorola makes a really solid phone and it would be worth spending the extra few dollars to upgrade accessories but what really cracks me up is that Motorola makes accessories to ruin their own charging ports like the bluetooth adapter to make non bluetooth phones bluetooth capable. It takes up the whole bottom port including the charging part but has no release button to take the adapter out so you have to yank the adapter out of the bottom port which in turn ruins the charging port.
