I just called 7 Circut Cities
After telling off one rep, and informing another, I socially engineered a person to tell me some information. They are not, apparently, supposed to release any information about the e815 until the release date ... But, they did receive the shipments today; I just couldn't get the stock information tho đ They are being snotty about it when I called all of them.

I always thought that the public should know what phones are coming out and a reasonable time period of when the phone would be released so the customer can pick which phone they would like instead of getting into a contract and than finding out a new phone just came out that no one told them about. Its common courtesy if you ask me.

I think this is only going to add to the confusion a bit more....just got off of the phone with a Circuit City Verizon Rep. and he said that Circuit City's are authorized to sell them Sunday. He said that they HAVE received them though. Not sure if this is correct...can anyone else verify?

Yes, they do have them. I got that small information from the snooty rep. The 'official'
release date is the 3rd for Circuit City. Although, I do think once the Verizon Kiosque has them, they will sell them. Why, they want the money ...

I called 4 Circut Cities where I live in Long Island, NY, 1 had no idea when the release was, however, the other three said July 5th, not the 3rd that I had been reading about and hoping for âšī¸

i got lucky and picked up a E815 from a circuit city verizon,most stores got there shipments in yesterday. The sales guy needed a few more activiations and offered to sell it to me early since its the last day of the month.

How much was your e815 @cc ? I just returned my 8940 to the verizon store and was told I should expect the e815 tuesday (at verizon) for 149.99 - (50 mir) = 99.99 AR W/ 2-year activation.

so far the phone is good the only issues i have had is with the contacts, the phone has get it now and i used to use the backup assistant on get it now the 815 does not offer that they have a service called iphonebook and idatebook if you only have a few contacts then the service is ok but the e 815 can handle i believe 1000 contacts great memory, but using iphonebook it will only allow me to download 120 contacts i have almost 150 i need so i am having to download manually, otherwise the phone seems ok i have a few other operational questions but i cant get any support because the phone is not offically released until 7-3 they were great at selling the phone early but wont support it until t...

Once again, I called another Circuit City, after getting my account remarked by a Verizon Wireless Customer Service Floor Supervisor, stating I can buy an e815 due to the problems I experienced with my v710 (Charging port overheated, causing the battery to physically explode, acid and all). The store manager said, "No, I won't sell these before the release date!" I even had the supervisor call the manager, and still no luck. It looks like the representatives in Pittsburgh, PA, are real Nazis. I'd like to know where the rest of you bought your e815's ...
