Well there apparently is still no way obvious to Verizon rep to get a contacts list into my Lexus. Not only that, the Lexus software is counting on the adress book being transferred from somewhere, so there is no way to enter it manually.

I work for a Lexus dealership. We have to tell every customer that purchases one of our seven vehicles that is bluetooth equipped, that Verizon phones aren't on the Lexus approved list. Mainly because Verizon phones are missing the feature to send the phonebook to the car. Every Cingular bluetooth phone works fine with Lexus bluetooth cars. However, Cingular has terrible sound quality. At one point, a Verizon rep told me it wasn't their phone that had the problem, it was the car. The only car that Verizon bluetooth phones work properly is on BMW's. So I guess Lexus, Acura, Toyota, and other makes are making cars that are only compatible with Cingular. 👿

It has to do with the OEM vendor that makes the kit, there are half a dozen of them. BMW uses...Motorala! Works great every time. Lexus uses a couple vendors, some Viseonik, some Moto, and some other brand to.
