Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

anyone know why.. when i take a picture and then make it my background picture.. it makes it biggers and therefore the pixels are bigger and the picture itself goes out of the screen?
i'm a new motorola user and am used to the samsung a670 (so far loving the e815) but this i found wierd...
