Sales tax for online orders?

Does Verizon charge sales tax for phones and accessories purchased online?

Yes. However, if you are a VIP Customer, you get a 25% discount on all accessories (ordered online and free shiping (FedEx 2nd day).

I received something in the mail. The program relates to the type of price plan you have. You can check your status by going to verizonwirelessvip.com and entering your mobile number or by calling Customer Service.

I just called about it and you have to live in the Northeast area of Verizons service area thats the only area that offers this program.

I decided to contact VZW via email about the VIP program you mentioned. See below for the response I received. I then forwarded the link you gave for the VIP program to see what response I get to that. By the way, I'm in the midwest, KC area. Also, not disputing your posting, just thought the response I received was interesting.

I just called the number on the verizonwirelessvip.com web site, gave 'em my cell phone number, and told 'em I'd been sending them $170 a month for at least the last 4 years and they signed me right up; packet with ID card is on its way.

What part of the country are you in?

I live in the KC area. I haven't tried calling yet, but probably will during my drive home. I've been paying well over $100/month for over 10 years.

I live in the northeast . . . Maine, to be exact. Can't get any more 'northeast' than that. 😁

That is interesting. You should call Eva back and ask her if the VIP program does not exist, then why is there a separate website for it.

It looks like you have to live in the Northeast and have a qualifying price plan.
