BIG PROBLEM!! MAJOR GLITCH!

Ok, well I got the phone yesterday from circuit city. Paid 299.99 for it with no contract 🙂
Anyways... I have a HS810 headset that I have never used before. I got it from motorola from that contest they had for the v710 last summer. I happily linked it and everything seemed to be working fine.
I was talking on the headset and everything sounded great and the voice recognition thing is awesome when it was working.
I hung up from a call and the phone and headset were idling for I would say about 15 minutes without me touching them or anything. Then I pressed the voice recognition on the headset to make a call. It just beeped. I turned the phone and headset off. Still did not work. The voice recognition button on the phone also did not see...

Hmm, I've been using the phone for a couple days since I bought it on the 3rd with the HS850 with no problems at all.

You did turn on bluetooth right, not just pair it up temporarily with bluetooth still disabled, cuz it lets you and then works for a short amount of time (maybe 15 mintues) and then the phone's like "okay, back to off"

OMGWTF!! I BET VERIZON WILL CHARGE TO USE BT FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES!!!!!

Watch out, I can see the future. I'll only be a matter of time before people say this.

the timeout on bluetooth wouldn't explain why the voice recognition button on the phone isn't working either. question for bullitrider, did you transfer your contacts both times? i've found with software glitches like these sometimes the phonebook transfer will pass the glitch to the new phone. just a thought. keep us posted.

I have done no phonebook transfer. I am taking it to the vzw store right now to see what they can do.

I went to the Verizon store yesterday at lunch and picked up the E815 and a BT820 headset. They worked beautifully all day yesterday and
without even thinking about it, I answered a call on the headset at 6:30 this morning.

Mine works great - it's been idle for about the past 3 hours (meetings....) and I came back picked up the phone and made a call.

There's got to be something wrong with your phone.
