banner issue
So when I changed the banner to a custom text nothing happened..until about 20 minutes later "Verizon Wireless" changed to "gardella" but then changed back a few minutes later..then back to "gardella" then back to " verizon Wireless" and so on...My wife's is doing the same thing...any ideas???

Mine does the same thing too. I'm not sure why it does this, but I think it might be a network thing in that Verizon "sends" their name intermittently, which will override your banner for a period of time, and then switch back to whatever you have programmed. I don't think this is an actual issue with the phone, but I could be wrong. Verizon seems to want to have as much control over everything as possible, so this might be another minor example of this.

All my motorola phones I've had from vzw have done this. I don't think it is just moto. I have had nothing but moto phones though.

You are saying the ERI banner changes from Verizon Wireless to some other name periodically or are you saying the name banner (i.e. John Doe) changes names occasionally.
