Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
External Screen Quality
Hello! I am another who is trying to decide b/t the E815 and the LG 8100.
Here is my question: How is the external display on the E815 compared to the external display on the V710? I know the V710's was very "blocky" looking and was wondering if the E815 looks pretty much the same way.

The external screen is better you can change the wallpapers on it and so forth and also there is a clock on it. The background will go black and the time will show up in a gray color so its a nice feature compared to the V710 which you had to push the left function button or flip open the phone to see the time.

its a lot better. The whole resolution of the phone is better just because its a V-Cast phone and it has to meet higher standards than regular phones.

I was thinking about getting either the e815 or the LG VX 8100. I like the design of the e815 much better than the 8100 (based on pictures I've seen). Which would you recommend (again, I'm sure it's a stupid question). I've heard about lots of problems people have with Motorolas.

Well its not a stupid question but a matter of preference. I think the E815 is a better phone than what was expected to be. I like Motorola because they are durable and reliable the only downside is the charging port on the Motorola phones but they switched travel/wall chargers on this phone and its made a big difference i can tell at least. When any phone comes out there will be a couple glitches here and there its just the nature with any phone no phone will be perfect but they will work on a upgrade for the phone to fix those glitches and you can get that free software upgrade for your phone. LG isn't a bad phone i bought my mom a LG VX 4500 its a all digital color phone nothing super special no camera or anything and no problems. Th...
