they're not free. you still have to pay 25 cents per ringtone because they're sent in a pix message. it's not much for one but once you do 40 of them you get hit with a nice 10 dollar bill. you can do it for absolutely free on an E815 if you have a transflash. no fees ever.

Oh do tell. My roommate is getting this phone later, and I was told you cannot use the TF card to put files onto the phone, that the tf card was only for MP3's. Using unlocked GSM phones I am not used to this problem and info would be appreciated.

When I go to download a ringtone, Verizon isn't a selection on the list of carriers and the e815 isn't on the list of phones. Am I missing something or what options should I choose? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i'm not having a fit and i can't figure it out....can someone please help me?

i can't find verizon or the e815...the only thing that looks to be "free" is if you upload your own ringtones and pics.

thanks gunny, i'm new to this since my last phone was a really BASIC samsung.

i'm trying to d/l the polyphonic ring tones on funformobile. i click on the phone icon and the sample ringtone plays. then i click continue to send it to my phone but the pull down menu does not list verizon as a carrier or the e815 as a phone selection.

i read the help menu and it says it should work with verizon if you choose "other gsm carrier", but i also do not see that as an option. any clues? i thought someone said this site was free, but i have the impression that i have to pay for these?

i'm trying to figure out uploading mp3 ringtones too. its just that i'm on a mac, but i'm going to switch over to the pc i have at home and try before i hara...

Mac, ouch. I'm just kidding. Let me tell you how I get ringtones for .02 cents per ringtone on my E815. .02 is the cost per text received.

Anyways like you said go to www.funformobile.com and at the top you will see Ringtones and below it a section that says:

Upload Your Ringtones To Your Phone
click that.

After that it gives you a place to enter your cell number, carrier, and a section to browse your computer for ringtones. I get my ringtones from http://www.mididb.com/ but there are lots of places. I'm not that computer savvy so if I can figure it out I'm sure you can. Once you find your midi tone you want to just click open and then hit send.

You will receive it on your phone under message center and then inbox. Once you get ...

Just a thought.............

I was told by someone very knowledgeable in this industry that once you put your phone number into web sites like this, you are VERY susceptible to cell phone spam 😕

Not sure if this is true but it sure is something to think about ☹️

If you have a cell phone spam blocker program that you found for free on the internet, then it is highly likely that program is not legit and could be the culprit for any spam in the future, and maybe a virus too.

So far their has not been any reports of cell phone viruses or spamming. But if you want to use a virus program or spam program on your cell phone, I would wait for one by a reputable well know company like Norton, McAfee or Zone Alarm! 😉

If spamming or viruses become a problem, i think you will see some of these programs reviewed by the m...

what doesn't work specifically?

if its in your message folder, you have to open the message and wait a little bit for the ringtone to load up before you can play and save it. you'll notice that it says 1/2, meaning you'll have to scroll forward to see the rest of the message, where the ringtone should be.

i finally kinda figured it out. still working out my own problems.... 🙂
