Set up phonebook to view "Primary" numbers only

I have seen several comments expressing disappointment that the e815 phonebook forces you to view multiple numbers for one contact as separate entries. This is not correct, as Motorola now gives you another option on the e815.

Go into "Contacts" -> hit "Menu" -> hit "Setup" -> scroll down to "View: All Contacts" and hit "Change" -> scroll down to "Primary Contacts" and hit "Select" -> hit "Done".

Now, when you go into "Contacts", only the primary number will display. Hit the right arrow and it will display the next number for that contact (indicated by the little icon), and so on & so on.

This works regardless of how you have your have your phonebook set up, i.e. view by picture of view by list.

Enjoy the phone! 🙂

That feature's been around for a while; my venerable V60s had it. I'm surprised people are still unaware of it.

So what dictates which entry is the "primary number?" I found this feature but found no "set as primary" as my old 4400 had.

Thanks

Look at your contacts, scroll to the one you want as primary, hit the menu key, scroll to Set as Primary.
