Dumb Question; Removing the battery

Okay, don't laugh at me too much. I got my new E815 yesterady & LOVE IT!! One small question, what is the trick to remove the battery? I have been pushing down on the battery door & pushing to the left & the sucker won't open ☹️ ! Is there a trick? I don't want to be too forceful with it.

If you are talking about the battery back door it can be a little tricky. You have to push the little plastic piece at the top down and pull that back and after thats released try lifting up you might have to twist a little left and right but the back door is playable so its not like it will break right away. If you are talking about removing the battery pull at the top of the battery and pull down on an angle.

Well I had trouble getting both off myself at first, but to get the back plastic cover off, press down the lil release and then stick your nail into the upper right corner and pull it out...then you'll have to tip it to get it out from around the antenna and then it's off.

For the battery I used a small, flat piece of metal (back cover of a pci slot from my computer, though a flat-head screwdriver would also prolly work) and wedged it between the top of the battery and the phone and used it as a fulcrum and it poped out nicely without damaging anything. As far as doing it with your hands...good luck, it's really tight in there, but it does tip out from the top.

Hope that helps

I had the same experience with my E815. One has to practically pry the cover off. The battery isn't easy to pull out either.

Why do you want to take the battery out anyway? 😕 Stop messing with it! 😛

If you need a new battery, just let Verizon replace it! 🙂

While looking at the back of the phone, pull down the grey button, and use a fingernail to pull off the battery cover, at the top right of the phone.

Since I ordered my phone through customer service, I actually had to put the battery in in the first place, which is how I know how to get it out. :-)

That is another sign of a cheap phone! You can't even get the battery cover off without prying it with your fingernail or other object! It shouldn't be made to be so difficult! I had the 815 for only about 1 week and wasn't happy with it for numerous reasons, so I sold it on ebay. When I went to take the battery out for shipping, I ran into this problem and knew right then I had definately made the right decision to sell it!

Sorry you had problems but I guess this phone was really to technologically advanced for you if you can't even remove the back cover or the battery. 😛

Try a simpler phone, like the problem plagued LG 8100! 😳

Hope you did not have any problems getting it ba...
