Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
SOFTWARE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also have the E815, but I am disappointed with the vibrate feature like you, Plus I'm not happy with the contacts layout. I went to download my contacts all 176 and everyone of them come up with a space for a picture, I went into the program and changed the view to listing which is fine, but when you go into the individual contacts it give a big space above the name as if there should be a picture associated with the contact every one is like that. So I had to go into all 176 contacts and change the picture setting to "none"
That sucked, I should mention that my contacts came from IPHONEBOOK.
Plus IPHONEBOOK only allows you to upload 140 or so contacts directly onto the phone. That is really pitiful, you have a phone that can hold a 1000 contacts but the program it come with only lets you store 140.
Wheres the brains in that?
If I am making a mistake downloading or anything please somebody help me before I drop kick the E815.

What a crack up. But to get serious here people are having software issues such as some people don't even have the E815 V-Cast software loaded on their phone so they have to wait for a update or return their phone so their are some issues out there and phones can be frustrating. But i highly suggest you don't drop kick your phone because Verizon most likely wont take it back. Oh and by the way this is the E815 forum!

I think your problem is that you downloaded the phone numbers with sub-standard software.
Verizon will transfer the phone numbers from your old phone to your new one and they come across just fine, no large spaces and the picture setting is already set to none.

Verizon says if you have a charging port problem and you transfer your data from the bad port to your new phone the problem can transfer over even with the transfer computer. I don't know how true that is but it makes me just manually program all my numbers into my phone now.

I also have an E815. I have all my contacts on my laptop in a .vcf file (exported from a TREO 650), and I can't figure out how to get them loaded on this thing. Should I email the contact list to some trick address? How do I load the contacts?
