Moto does it again...forget something guys?????

Well, moto's E815 already has 1 problem: half of the stock that went to stores are missing the EVDO software. Motorola apparently loaded the wrong software version in half of the 815's before they shipped them out to the VZW warehouses. Anyone interested in purchasing the E815, make sure you ask the sales rep to check the software before you leave the store to make sure it is loaded in. If it is not, the techs can load it in there in the store. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Sorry if this has been posted already!

Its been posted already but you have given us updated information i really don't think this is a good time to buy this phone to be quite honest with everyone too many mistakes/errors/flaws whatever you would like to call them. Don't get me wrong its a great solid phone but it needs the glitches fixed before someone buys it because we only have 15 days.

Well, VZW stopped selling it today. The store wouldn't sell it to me and customer service said there is a hold on them.

guess I'll consider myself lucky, mine has EVDO, no verizon logo on startup, and the speakerphone's fine...no complaints or problems so far
And if you do get a phone without the EVDO software, you can always exchange it for a new phone or maybe they'll let the vzw stores do a software upgrade like they did for the 710
...
Sorry for the dumb question but how do we know if the EVDO is properly installed?

If you go to Get It Now, there should be a VCAST icon. I picked up my phone last night and the rep showed me it was missing.
He said today (7/12) they "should" get a new flash that will up date your phone. You have to go to a store and let their techs do this.
