How do you know if you have the EVDO software in your phone?
...
It dont matter return the phone it looks like a major recall on the phone.

how can we find substantial information regarding a recall? It is still listed as an optional phone to get in the NYC and NJ areas.

Just got off the phone with VZW, there is NO RECALL, but there were technical problems with the VCAST, which is why a temporary hold was place on orders. should be resolved by tomorrow at the latest. Dosn't effect anything else with the phone, just VCAST. If you already have the phone and having problems with your VCAST, take it in, and they will put the software upgrade on your phone.

There are multiple defects in this phone from dead pixels to volume to the ear piece to speaker phone to half of the phones not having the correct software being installed on them. There is obviously a major problem here. I had my phone for 8 days now my phone did good for the first 5 days than all the problems started to kick in. If you read some of these threads people have to take back and exchange their phone 4 or 5 times its unreal!

Just like now ... with the 815 ... no recall.
quit hoaxing

Its everyone else that keeps dragging it along. Verizon reps all have their own opinion on whats going on obviously. So I'm not the person you need to get on about that. The E815 is a good phone yes some people do exchange their phone in for the smallest reasons i agree couldn't agree more. It was a smart move by Verizon to put a hold on selling these phones until they could check the software and make sure it was up to date. We all now know what the situation on this phone is so we can...
