I really do LOVE this phone. I love the great reception the most. But the only problem is the battery life. I was expecting something that lasted a bit longer.

It supposidly has a talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of 11 hours.

Isn't standby any time that you are not using your phone?

Yesterday I charged my phone until it said, Charge Complete, which was about 1 1/2 hours. I thought that was a little quick since the battery was beeping low battery before i charged it.

Anyway, today I am down to 2 bars already, and last night i used my phone for about 5 minutes! I havn't used the camera, ringtone application or video part even! All it did was sit there over night and this morning its already down to 2 bars?

Yeah,

Don't charge your battery for just 1 1/2 hours. Do it overnight while you sleep. Also, try doing it with the power off.

Stein 16 is right. I really thought that this type of battery didn't need conditioning, but if you charge overnight initially for 2 to 3 nights with phone off, you will have better results. I was dissapointed at first. The battery would go to 2 bars before the end of the day. Of course, I was using V-Cast a little, playing with the camera, changing settings, and talking for about an hour. After conditioning the battery yesterday, I used my camera, changed a few settings, and talked on my phone, and still had 6 bars! I Turned the phone off before I went to bed, then turned on this morning, and still 6 bars!

Not 11 hours: 11 days. (Supposedly, but not in the real world I guess.) ☚ī¸

You can always expect less battery time than on the specs. and it makes since if you really stop and think about it. And this is true for ALL phones, just look at any other forum.

When a manufacture test it's battery, they do it under "ideal" conditions.

Some things to check that they set when testing are, do you have the backlight turned off or on, if on - for how long, how long is the display set to turn on, do you have bluetooth enabled, is screen saver on, do you ever touch or bump the side button and turn on the display or backlight, do you ever use the menu but not make a call, is GPS set to on - even for 911, do you ever do ANYTHING with the phone in between calls?

All these things take power. If you actually just put it dow...
