right now i have the lg vx8100 and i have seen all the threads on the pros and cons of both.

the reason why i'm considering exchanging for the e815 is so i can use isync to sync the calandar on the phone. i have also read the threads telling me the hacks to set this up. what i want to know is if the caladar/datebook on the e815 is worth all of this effort... does it fuction well... easy to use... etc.

please advise,
j

Hi j,

I've got an E815 and OSX 10.4 (Tiger) installed on a G5. Pairing the computer and phone was straightforward. Once that's setup, run iSync. Your phone should be there and you have options to sync Address Book entries and/or iCal entries.

Worked pretty well the first time, some Bluetooth difficulties later, but they seem to be intermittent.

If you've got a Mac, then the E815 is the Verizon phone for you!

Thanks Dan,

Sounds like you were just able to sync via bluetooth without even using a hack. That's great, it sounds like the a great phone for the mac user.

Could you tell me if the calendar feature is user friendly and helpful. for example is it easy to access particularly if you have 7 to 8 appointments on one day.

i'm reluctant to change because i'm really starting to like the vx8100. reception is great and that front screen is so nice.

any info you can provide is appreciated.

Peace,
J
