hoops

is there a recommended place to buy the current (3/25) vers of phone tools? i would need the USB cable as well, so i assume I should buy the package? but...i've also seen it come w/o the cable but with a bluetooth atachment. would this be better given i'd be using it with the e815? or is just more expensive and not really worth it? thanks in advance

$25 (includes shipping). is this right? a $40 difference what is the same product or am i missing something?

i got mine at verizonwireless.com
for 40 ducks 😡 ...
same as the v710... came with mpt 3.19, but easily updated to e815... Just forget the searching for phone driver, start mpt and hit menu, update, and then follow the directions. After installing mpt changes from generic phone to the E815..

Did u consider going with the Bluetooth and not bothering with the USB cable? do you know if there's any downside to that? thanks

I went to Global Wireless, a little one-man store in Huntington Beach, CA, and bought his generic cable that came with MPT 2.something. Ran a Live update and went up to 3.25b, the latest available.

Cost me $22.95 and works fine with Bluetooth to my laptop or USB to my desktop.
