Alarm problem

Kabass

Jul 19, 2005, 10:00 PM
I am having problems with the alarm on the phone. Once the alarm is set, if I receive a text message and don't open the phone to read it the alarm will not go off. The alarm will not turn on until I check the text message. I've contacted both Motorola and Verizon and neither seem to know what to do. I rely on my alarm and unless this problem is fixed I am going to have to look for a different model.

Dear Jack,

Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support, once again.

Regarding your concern, currently, the alarm feature works as you described in your e-mail. If you receive a text message, the text message us ignored, and the alarm is set, the alarm will be disabled. Currently, this is how the phone works, however, we are working feverishly on a software upgrade to improve the quality of this phone, since this feature may result in an inconvenience for our consumers.

If you have further questions or need additional assistance, please contact our Cellular Information Center at 1-800-331-6456. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 10pm CST and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm CST.

Has anyone contacted them? I called and just got transfered around a bunch of time.

Will this be resolved by a patch or software update?

Can anyone give us an idea of if or when this will be fixed?

Thanks.
