New Skins???
is there a safe place to get (download) new skins

Not yet ... no.
The only way to get new skins (currently) is to hack your phone and put them on ... which I won't go into.
It is a shame there is such a gap between features the manufacturer provides (moto) and the features the carrier supports (VZW).
For Example if you format a TF card on your phone it creates a directory called \mobile\skins. You would think all you have to do is drop some SKI and DAT files in that directory and you'd have some cool new skins ... but apparently that isn't the case. This could be something Moto intended for the phone but something Verizon blocked out ... so you would be forced to go to Get It Now and BUY new skins (which currently is not an option)
