Anybody hear distortion/static in earpiece...
mine breaks up or makes a static sound on the higher notes during a conversation, very annoying.

I believe that all the e815's have this issue. I have listened to about 10 different e815's at 5 different Verizon retail stores. Some of the reps couldn't hear the speaker problem, but believe me it's there! You can try earpiece volume fix. Check the thread, "earpiece volume". It helps for lower volumes, but not volumes above 4. Hopefully there will be a firmware fix for this soon! Volumes above 4 are useful for speakerphone. Maybe the e815 was designed this way. Still not too good in my book, but I am usually fine on volume 4.

Yeah...something like that is happening to me to. It sounds sorta like the speaker is blown out. :-(
