What is the ideal pic size/resolution to upload pics at to use as wallpaper or pictureIDs? I am trying to make sure I maximize the resolution of the screen without uploading too big of a file and hogging all the memory.
PS-I've been using funformobile.com to upload them.
Thanks

I have used 880X600 but in order to get the picture 'around' the Verizon Banner and the CLOCK I have created a color background in photoshop and the sized my image to fit onto the color backdrop, saved the entire new file as a JPEG and emailed to the phone- works Ok-but I do miss my huge screen in my Audiovox CDMA 9500 now thats a big screen phone-

Yeah 🙄 not sure why you would put an 800x600 image on a 176x220 screen 🙄 ... but you can check the info tab for the exact screen details ... or just look here ...

Type: LCD (Color TFT/TFD)
Colors: 262,144 (18-bit)
Size: 176 x 220 pixels
TFT / 65,000 colors for wallpaper

anything bigger than 176x220 is just going to get scaled to 176x220 by the phone if you have it set to Fit-To-Screen

I tried to use pictures I took with my 4MPixels digital camera on my E815 phone as wallpaper. I resized the picture down to 1280x1024, the resolution of pictures taken with the phone's camera. But the phone can't display the picture. I got a message saying the picture is too large to display? Any help is appreciated.

I used 640x480 and they came across ok. Since the phone only displays a "small" image using only about half the screen, the resolution really doesn't matter since the picture is not going to be very impressive anyway! ☚ī¸

Too bad the phone can't do full screen pictures and video. The camera and pictures would be more useful, and the video, I really wouldn't want to show that to anyone, unless they needed a laugh!! đŸ¤Ŗ đŸ¤Ŗ

After using the near digital quality Audiovox 9900 and it's stunning screen, this phone is a let down in this department. but, I didn't buy it for the camera, it is just an extra through in for very limited use! 😕

ok I am going to say this again

The screen on the phone is 176 x 220 pixels. Any picture bigger than that is simply going to get scaled down to 176 x 220 pixels.

You can't put 10 lbs of dirt into a 5 lb bag.

You are confusing "size" with "resolution". They are different. The phone can display a "resolution" up to 1280x1024, but the "size" of the screen is only 176x220, not the same thing! 😉

For displaying a picture on the "very" small area that i...
