Dropped it

Will dropping your phone shake up anything inside the phone to make it not work right?

Random question, I know...just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences with dropping their phone and then have it work worse?

If this phone is anything like my T730, though my salesman gave me the impression this one is more fragile, no. I dropped my T730 10 times in the first month I had it but never once needed a repair on it, and I had it for 2 years. The original belt clip with that phone was terrible, if you LOOKED at the belt part of the holster (cradle and belt clip separated) it fell apart. A revised version came out to eliminate that and allow one to open the phone while in the holster cradle (wish the E815's had this capability).

I dropped my E815 in a lake last week. I let it dry for a day and turned it back on and it works perfect.

lol...nice to know that I'm not the only clumsy one when it comes to dropping my phone. It actually seems that if I have a pile of stuff in my arms, and I happen to drop one thing, it's always my cell phone. Thanks for the reassurance that it will keep on working!

Best thing to do is get a leather case for you phone, it will help keep the phone looking newer longer, and it will help protect the phone against nasty falls... and if don't like the leather case option, consider this

Leather Case: $10-$30
New E815: $150-$399

Just some food for though, oh yeah, just a reminder, VZW insurace doesn't cover dropping phones in water, neither does RadioShack service plans.

Yes, the insurance does cover phone if dropped in water. I have talked to several Verizon Reps, and Lockline to confirm this.
