Message alert chime
Can the message alert chime be changed? I downloaded a number of .mid music files and would like to replace the chime on the message alert with one. Can anyone tell me if/how this can be done. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, that will not change the ring style for the reminder, It has "Beep" as the only ringer, or you can set vibrate or off, unless you have something on your phone that I don't.

Maybe I mis-understood what you meant. Did you mean message as in text message or voice message?
I don't think the inbox change will affect the voice message reminder, only the text message.

Don't think it can be done. If you notice on setting up the message alert, it only gives you 3 pre-set choices, beep, vibrate and off.
All the other sound alerts can be changed though.

Following the steps provided above, I was able to change to any number of ringtones I have stored on my phone. Now, when a message comes in, this selected ringtone plays. As far as I can tell, it only plays once though. But that is fine for me.
