possible to adjust outer display contrast-brightness...?

My clock on the outer display is really dark even on bright days. Just upgraded from the 710 and not having a clock "always on" the outside really annoyed me. This is good except that its really dark and there is barely and contrast at all.

I checked all through the menu's and didnt find any options for the outer display, unless I overlooked it somehow.

Anybody have any ideas?

Nope, can't be adjusted. If it were on all the time, the battery life would suffer greatly. That's the trade off on most all new color screen phones.

But it is easy to just hit either of the left side buttons (antenna side) and that will turn on the backlight.

The other simple fix that most of use though is to just look at our watch! 😉

Yeah I understand why it can't be color "always-on", but there's actually three modes for the outer display:
normal (bright) color, dim color, and monotone black/clear.. resembles an inverted LCD screen when it goes to showing the digital clock only.

the first two are mirror images of the original background and the last, or standby mode, is all black with a dim grey (pixels off?) clock. Thats the part I was wondering if it could be brightened up. but I guess if the pixels are off then there is no way that could be done.

guess I'll have to save up for a nice watch 🙂

The watch idea is the best! 😁

They have some "cool" watches on the market now and the display is "ALWAYS" on!!!

No buttons to push, just turn your wrist and there it is, the correct time!!! 🤣 😁

Battery life is good too! 😉
