Play MP3 thru Bluetooth headset?????

HI,

Is there a way to get the MP3's to play thru the headset when connected instead of the phone?

No, happy now? lol. Seriously, the phone wont play MP3 audio or video audio through the bluetooth headset, but it will with a regular corded headset, atleast from my experience.

That right. There is only one way of playing it through an earpiece, wired headsets. Wired headsets receive all audio through the output jack instead of the speaker. The bluetooth works completely differently. It only works with standard operating phone sounds and communicating methods. You should notice that no sound comes through with V-cast, the video camera and things alike.

I wish I knew. I just made a $60 investment on the flash card and usb bluetooth, hoping to listened mp3 on my motorola bluetooth.

It seems that such technology needs other accesories. If anyone knows more about this subject, please advice.

I don't know why i haven't heard of anyone trying this, it should be fairly compact and lightweight (although unnecessary if Motorola/Verizon would just support A2DP):

Theoretically, you can play mp3's through a stereo bluetooth headset, such as the Motorola Ht820, if you use your phones as the mp3 player by attaching a bluetooth 1.2 A2DP compatible 3.5mm transmitter, such as: http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&It em=GBMA201

You will also need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter, such as: http://www.trianglecables.com/sma2535.html
(a flexible one would be better - there are plenty on ebay for pittens)
