I have the 8100 (having owned 4 LG's total, 2 were excellent and 2 weren't) that when the 8100 came out I thought it would be great, I was mistaken.

Long story short version-- D.C. requires you to be on headset or hands-free device while driving. Yesterday, I couldn't hear the party calling me when I had it on speaker phone and the voice commands on bluetooth kept coming up with other options (I'd ask for Home and it would ask if I wanted to call Voicemail). I've also had the phone reset itself a couple of times.

What I want to know is how is the Bluetooth feature on the E815- does it recognize commands correctly, is it clear when calling or is there a lot of static, etc.

The other question is- how good is the speaker phone- nice ...

I was just like you. I had 2 lg8100's before I switched to the e815. The speakerphone is definatly better, I use my bluetooth hs820 and it works pretty well. No echo and the voice command has less trouble recognizing. I had the hs850 headset with the 8100 and it was aweful. So far the only complaint that I had with the 815 is that the get it now software was not on my phone when I got it, they had to download it after the fact. But as a phone, it works better than the lg did. And I too come from a line of lg phones, this one just plain and simple works for me.

I just got my rig and people have told me there is echo when I use the headset. They say it's slight, but there.

I can't hear it, though, but in the car, the headset somewhat hard to hear over road noise. If I turn it up, it starts to distort a bit.

Overall, I'm happy with the phone and headset. I have used the speakerphone in the car, and it works great. Clear, and the people on the other end say I sound "ok."

I find the speakerphone to be quite loud, but I don't use it very much so I may not be a good judge of this.

Please do reply and let us all know whether they allowed you to trade in your phone!

Actually, they did allow me to trade in the 8100 today. I really like this phone and wished I had gotten it sooner.
