put call into voice mail
with my old LG 4500 I could just hit the side button....once to silence the incoming ring and a second time to put the call directly into voice mail....is there a way to put an incoming call directly into voicemail?

Yes, hit the "Ignore" button. It's covered in the manual. 😉

Yes, but that is with the phone open....I look at the outside of the phone to see who is calling and if I want to send the call to voice mail, what do i do...as I mentioned with my other phone I just hit the outside button (phone is closed) twice to send to voice mail. if i open the phone it will answer(i have it set to answer when opened....can I do it with the phone closed?

If a call comes in, you can hit one of the volume buttons and it will silence the ringer.
If you do not want to answer it, it will go to voice mail automatically after a set number of rings.
The "Ignore" button on the inside is the only way to send it directly to Voice Mail immediately.

Yes, and thank god - when I have an LG 3200, I must have sent 10 calls to my voicemail accidentally while trying to open my phone.
