speakerphone echo update?

does anyone have information as to whether the speakerphone echo can actually be repaired with a firmware update?

Has anyone had success exchanging the phone for another and the speakerphone echo was eliminated or significantly reduced in frequency?

MOTO stated today that they do not consider this as a known issue because a small percentage of customers have complained. I was told that to her knowledge a software update will not fix the proble. I was told the echo is actually a speech delay on one side.

If that is the case then I will continue to replace the phone until I get one that does not have a speakerphone echo.

My fiancee and I both have E815s and yes, there is some echo in spkr mode, but it seems to only be when the volume is maxxed out.. at 7, MAYBE also at 6.. but when we turn the volume down, the echo goes away.

It would be nice to not have ANY echo, but at this point I'm assuming they're all the same, I've heard about similar results from other posters.

my 8100 echo was directly dependant on the volume but my 815 echo echos even at low volume.

I will exchange it today.

Today was my second day wtih it and so far it is working better. Today I will put it through its paces in terms of the speakerphone.

I had been frustrated that there is no cable available to transfer the videos and photos to the new phone. There is a work around but it was time consuming (sending to pix place and then downloading them again). I did not want to invest into a flashmemory card yet until I know I was keeping thephone. There is also the issue that videos and photos stored on the phones memory can not be transfered to the flash memory (or so I have been told).
