I'm trying to send myself a ringtone, it's attached in a .midi format. I send it to XXXXXXXXXX @ vzwpix.com--- for some reason it's not getting the phone.
I am set up for text messaging so is this something Verizon needs to look into on my account?
...
Make sure the the mp3 file was "converted into a .mid file before you send, use freerip.com
...
just renaming the file .mid wont work

thanks- I got it to work--the message just took a little longer to get to the phone then I thought it would.

I thought this phone could use MP3s without conversion?
I have a similiar problem where I sent myself a few MP3s @ vzwpix.com .. it did take a LONG time for my phone to get the message, but when it finally did, it said it was "Unable to download" the message and to "try again later."
I've read about other people online having the same problem. Supposedly calling VZW and having them fix something in their account resolved the issue.

hmmm- I changed the file extension to .midi and sent it the phone. I'm not sure about the MP3 capabilities yet as I haven't had time to mess with it.

it can but through email you can only send so much through .mid for ringtones the largest file i got was 130kb for a 33 second ringt one 🙄 though full MP3 you can make through your equip itself, imjust used to making tones myself
