adrial

What is the largest transflash card that the E815 will recognize?

I noticed that this website listed 256 megs, but I was wondering if there are any hacks/updated software or anything to get it to recognize a larger card?

thanks,
adrial

The largest Transflash card available right now is the 256MB card. I spoke with a rep from San Disk and was informed that the 512MB Transflash card would be available in late October.

Is it true that stored items on the phone memory can not be transfered to the transflash card and visa versa?

I have moved photos and video between the phone memory and the T-Flash memory and vice-versa with no problem. Just view the desired picture or video, hit the top middle menu key, press move and the picture or video will transfer to the other storage medium in the phone. Stuff easily moves back and forth as often as you like.

The T-Flash card can also be placed in the computer and photos or video easily moved to it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to "format" your card before use and after several runs of picture taking and deleting. This is done in the phone info menu. Select storage devices, Trans T-Flash, press middle menu key, when format appears press "select". This procedure will save you getting a corrupted card and loss of desired phot...

I have just bought the E815 with a TF card. I have NOT done any seem edits. I copied my Pictures to the TF card then copied them back using an SD reader to my PC. The problem is that I have not been able to see the pictures on my PC even though they are listed in jpg format!!! How were you able to open the jpg files from the motorola directory on the TF card? Do I need to do any seem edits first?
Please HELP.

No seem edits are necessary. It sounds like you're doing it right. If your PC can navigate through the folders on the TF card and copy the JPG files to your hard drive, then you should have no problem opening the JPG files once they're on your hard drive. The fact that you can't open them suggests that they're corrupted.

I hope you used "copy" instead of "move" to transfer your pictures from the phone's memory to the TF card. Then the originals are still in your phone. I got burned that way, lost my first half dozen pictures.

Try formatting the card in the phone again. Then copy the pictures to it again. Then read it in the PC cardreader again. I had to try a couple times to get it to work, though my problems may have been ca...

Thank you. I have spent a few hours reformatting and copying (several times) but to no avail. The jpg images are on the TF card but do not display on my PC. Which directory are they sitting in on the TF card? Sometimes they are hidden and sometimes they are outside the motorola directory under root!
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I bought a 256 card at Circuit City for 40 bucks. Works great and it came with the adapter so it can fit in the computer card reader. I am positive that I also saw a 512 card there in the display. It was about 60 dollars and I didn't want to spend that much. I could have been wrong but I am very sure. It may have been a "mini" SD card (they were all stacked together with the t flash cards) but they do not work in the 815. Check Circuit City out.

none found today. It is hard to imagine that it would be available since sandisk just started shipping them to retailers and does not even have it available (as of yesterday) on their website).

Please provide the direct link.

Well, my Best Buy received 4 512 transflash cards at the end of last week. I picked one up, and it works like a charm with my e815.
