MP3 RINGTONES: i figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so i got my phone a few days ago and i thought i would share with you how to do it, cause i would have liked to have someone tell me. I saved a preview mp3 from walmart. I renamed the end of the name to .mid. Using my yahoo email, i attached the file and sent it to my phone at my [email protected]. I opened the file, it played the song. while playing i hit the menu button that has four horizontal bars on it. it gave me the option to save the file. i pressed it. it brought me to a blue screen with the song. i pressed the OK button. it gave the option to save as ringtone, so i did! i am so much happier with this phone now.

when the song is playing and you hit menu. you should press save items. then click file.

Um, these exact steps are listed in numerous places here and on HowardForums. If you couldn't find them, I don't think you looked very hard. 🙄 Also, you don't have to change it to a .mid. The phone plays .mp3 just fine.

hi, tell how to do this please. i was sending from computer to phone with #to text on my phone, but i think verizon caught on, now it comes over a download,not as data packet. how do i get ringtones from walmart for free into my e815. please help me thanks in advance

Is your account set-up for picture messages or text messages only. I had this problem a few days ago and it turned out someone had deleted my picture messaging option on Verizon's side when I upgraded my text allowance.

to bk, thank you helping me out. i did call verizon, that is what happen. i did up grade text allowance. they said i was missing some file. they had to fix, i'll try now to put some mids on my phone.
