Hey everybody, I have a bit of a problem. I just got a new motoroala 815 yesterday and so far am quite pleased with the phones features. However, my previous motoroala phone died on me and it can't be turned on. The problem is all my numbers are in that phone and I need to transfer them to my new phone. How exactly do I do this since my old phone won't turn on? It won't charge up either. So can I jus replace the battery and have someone transfer the information, or find some other method, or is my information competely lost?

Does it turn on with the charger intact? If so you should be set. If not, you'll need someone elses battery to try. Worst case, visit Tech support, they should be able to help.

VZW will transfer the contact list for free to your new phone if you are a vzw customer. IF not they charge $10.

My Verizon store tries to charge me every time I get a new phone for anyone in my family, and I have been a VZW member since 1997. I eventually bought the Susteen DataPilot program, but they do not support the E815 yet.

It is kinda complicated, but wonderful when it works properly.

Unless the phone will turn on, we cannot get any info off of it. If you know someone else that has a battery that will fit the phone, try it. We may even have a battery to try at a store (no guarantee whatsoever... it just depends on what the individual store happens to have on hand). If it's completely dead, I'd hate to say it, but you're kinda out of luck.
