Very important question on battery life

I will be using the 815 mostly as a cellphone. If you are using the phone primarily for this, what has been your average talktime and standby time without using a bluetooth headset. If you use a bluetooth headset, please specify what headset and average talktime and standby time. I live in Sherman Oaks, a suburb of Los Angeles.

I live pretty close to sherman oaks, and people in differnet areas say their battery changes from EVDO to 1X which kills their battery. I use my phone for everything and the battery is perfect. If you use your phone just for talking, you should have no problem with your battery.

Do you get EVDO in the area? Do you ever go up beverly glen blvd to mulholland and lose service? Ever drive any of the other canyons and lose service?

I really don't know what EVDO or the 1X thing is, but I get pretty good service and good battery life and I live in Woodland Hills. The only canyon I know is Topanga canyon, haha. I get reception their.

Yes, although there are workarounds posted for this so it doesn't keep seeking EVDO connections. Supposedly this will save battery life.

The EVDO/1xrt map indicates I reside in the xrt area (santa monica mountains at beverly glen blvd and mulholland drive). When I drive down one mile I am in the EVDO area. I hope this does not drain my battery.
