What's happening everybody.

Does anyone know why not all my mp3's show in the sounds folder from my 256 mb transflash card???

I have ALL 42 tracks showing on my Motorola SD Card Reader transferred from my computer and they ALL play fine with Winamp on the comp, but when I put the card into the phone only around 32 show up in the the sounds folder.

I noticed that when I put the tracks in the sub-folder "audio" under "shared" EVEN LESS tracks show up, and when I put the MP3's outside of all the preloaded folders, more show up but not all of the tracks? When I put the TF card back into my reader o

Does anyone know if it had to do with the tracks name or number perhaps, cuz I know it is not a filesize issue. Some of my larger (12 MB...

I tried renaming some tracks and it looks like that is it. It seems to be something with the size of the filename you get with ID3 tagging of tracks from albums from P2P networks. I renamed some tracks to a shorter name, and they showed. Although some tracks have long names and still show without any manipulating, it looks like that the preloaded ID3 tag name lengths has something to do with it. Although this is a pain in the A S S, it works.

Anybody know anything else, i would appreciate any feedback. I guess you could rename all tracks 1,2,3,4,5 etc, but I want to know what track is what.

I had the same problem with my v710 and now with the e815. Let me know if you find a solution.

Thanks.

Yeah it looks like if you rename all the tracks a real short name they will ALL show. I named all 46 tracks 1.2.3 etc. If you highlight all the tracks and click rename and chosse "track 1" for example, it will rename all tracks track 1, 2, 3, 4,etc so you don't have rename each one. This method works. Although you will not see the name of the tracks in the sounds folder, it WILL show the name and artist if they are preloaded ID3 tags. (songs with names from p2p networks or your own rips that have tags). This works but is a little inconvenient. Peace
