Interesting results on my echo test.

Using my 5th E815 and so far the best built one with no real issues to speak of except for the famous echo.

Here is what my friend and I discovered.

I was talking to him using my Logitech Mobile Freedom and E815, he heard echo on his end and I heard a poping noise on my end.

Turned off the E815 and turned on my Nokia 6230 from Cingular using the Logitech headset I called him back and the call was crystal clear on both ends.

E815'S SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 815 does not suck! We were testing the Plantronics V510 bluetooth headset on the 815 and Lg 8100. The person on the receiving end heard an echo. The person was a plantronics tecnician. She asked if the volume on the phones were set on high. They were. We lowered the sound on the phones and the echo on both phones is gone. The volume on the plantronics is excellent. We are happy with this headset.

If I lower the volume we can't hear as well. If the phone is designed to go to a certain volume level it should do so without echo. Doesn't echo on the Nokia 6230 with the volume pegged all the way.
So in closing, the 815 sucks. Sorry

BoulderBoy.....If you don't like the e815, then why don't you just get out of our Forum and let us enjoy the phone we like? 😈

Grow up kid! I don't think your parents would be very proud of your actions! 😲
🤣

Go play with the 8100 if that is the phone you like and we will not bother you! 😛

Not all of us were as lucky as you Jimbo. It is a nice phone and the latest one we got is the best by far.
Except the bluetooth quality is horrible comparred to my Nokia 6230.
As I have stated in past threads, I have always used and enjoyed Motos, but they missed this one by ions. So inconsistent.

And if your so happy with your why are you lurking around here? go use the love of your life.

BTW, nice how you side with the other D*** head that blasted me just because he got a good 815 also.

And the 8100 sucks as bad or worse than the 815.

Actually, I haven't had a single issue with my 815 either. It was certainly better than the 8100 it replaced.

My E815 causes an extreme echo to the person who calls me when I have it connected to my wife's truck using the Bluetooth portion of her Nokia CK-7W car kit (wired and Bluetooth kit). When she has her non-BT Nokia 3588i in the cradle, there is no echo on the caller's end or on our end. If we pop out her phone and hook up mine via BT, the caller gets a strong echo back of every word said. I hear a slight echo on my end of every few words, but not the whole conversation.

I went to a cellualr repair shop yesterday and the tech told me that Bluetooth, when used with a CDMA system, allocates half the BT bandwidth to data and half to voice. He claims that is what makes the BT echo. He said that BT and GSM together do not echo, because BT on GSM...
