I think you may be referring to the "Call Drop Tone" which is in Network Info under Settings.

Were you looking at a samsung phone? The samsung phone does have a disconnect tone. It will beep when a call is dropped or disconnected because of any reason. It acts just like a land line. When you get disconnected on a land line you get a dial tone. Great feature! The dropped call notification is when your phone loses contact with a cell tower and the call is dropped.

jim, thanks for the info. I swear I checked every line of every menu. I found it on one 815, but not the other.

I'll be going back to get one, so I'll double check. I was afraid that maybe the Call Drop Tone was dropped from the feature set in an updated version of software.

wep, they were both definitely 815s. The LG 8100 has a Call Connect Alert but nothing for Call Dropped. And I hate to be standing around talking for 5min before I realize that I've been disconnected!
