I have been enjoying the pictures and video option with the 815 and go through the process of emailing to my computer and then distributing them to friends and rels. I know there is the transflash card option but wonder if the phone tools deluxe is an alternative. I was surprised to hear that it existed because I had been told only a few weeks ago that no cable existed to transfer the pics and videos to my computer from the phone. so I wonder if this option will really work.

If you buy mobile phone tools, you can use a program called bitpim to connect to the filesystem on your phone (using the cable from mobile phone tools, although I've heard you can also just buy the cable off of ebay) and download and upload (to a certain extent, you have to overwrite an old file) files.

If you do a seem edit to your phone, you can use bluetooth or mobile phone tools with the cable to transfer files between your computer and your phone.

I think I will just get the transflash card so I can easily transfer multimedia to the PC.

I just had an extensive conversation with both MOTO and BVRP (the folks here in Denver that manufacturer and develop phone tools and deluxe).

Bluetooth can sometimes work for the data transfers but will not work on the multimedia for verizon phones for the reason we all know.

Using the cable and phone tools will nto allow multimedia transfers either.

The deluxe version is the same as the 3.0 version that MOTO speaks of.

I have read posts regarding seem edits and such so I imagine there are work arounds but I am not interested in messing with the phone in that way.
