send email from phone?
On my old LG VX3100 (great phone, still runs like a champ after 2 years and battery still lasts like it was new!) I could send email from the phone from the same place I would send messages (SMS?) and it worked great. I think I could also receive email at my-phone#@vzw.net, or something like that. I tried sending emails from this phone, but it only lets me enter numbers into the message area. I also would like to receive email on the phone as I am a systems administrator and this let me receive messages from the systems on my network in case something goes down.
How do I / Can I send email from the phone?
Can I still receive email on the pho...

I see 'Send TXT Message' and 'Send PIX Message' but no 'Send Email'. I assume it's right in front of my face but I just don't see it. Maybe you could just tell me how you do it?
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I read most of it.

What do you call an email other than either a text message or a picture message? 😕
From your phone or your computer, you can send a email message to anyone either to their cell phone or a computer.
ANYTHING you send from your cell phone you are charged for by Verizon. Same goes for any messages you receive from friends on your cell phone. 😢
Check with Verizon on the charges and what plans you can sign up for. 🙂
But all the other "normal" ways of sending or receiving messages will cost you extra. I don't think many people use WAP for email and with the apparent level of experience of the poster, I certainly don't think he is using it! 😉
Start out like you do a text message, for me I click the down arrow button on the key pad and select "New TXT Message". Then in the message field I hit the # button twice so that it shows abc1 and then just type in the email address. Then type your message and hit send. It counts as a text message but you can add messaging packages to your plan if you plan on sending and receiving lots of them, or just pay as you go.
Hope this helps.
