HAS ANYONE WHO HAS HAD BOTH MOTO E815 AND LG8100 NOTICED BETTER SERVICE/RECEPTION WITH ONE OR THE OTHER?? MY FRIEND AND I BOTH WENT FROM THE E815 TO THE 8100 AND WE BOTH NOTICED THAT THE 815 HAD MUCH BETTER RECEPTION, ESPECIALLY INDOORS?? I JUST WANTED TO GET SOME FEEDBACK FROM PPL WHO HAVE OWNED BOTH PHONES. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I have had both phones and the moto definitely has better reception. I made several test on the signal and the moto actually gets a signal and can be used in an area where the 8100 had no signal at all. If you want the best reception I would definitely recommend the moto. After that they both have their good and bad points.

I had the 8100 for about a week. I traded it back for the 815. In my opinion, the 815 had much better reception and sounded much better to the people I called. That's why I gave mine back and "upgraded" to the 815. Judging from the performance of my 8100, I can't understand why anyone would buy the junky thing. The 815 is a solid performer all around except for the echo problem you read about all over this forum. If you don't use the speakerphone feature and just put the 815 up to your head, it works perfectly (but your brain may not like all the EM waves pouring into it!!). I suggest using the wired earphone piece. No echo with it.
