E815 --talking amongst another e815

I have three questions.

First, I have heard people mention that when speaking on their e815 to someone else that has the e815, it is very echoey (SP?) and hard to hear the conversation. Any input on that?

Second, the echo. Some say it is horrible , some say not a big deal. Can I have input from people that own this phone?

Last, but not least, my sister bought an e815. When she is at home, the signal stays on EV, but when she is at my home, the signal switches back and forth from 1x to EV. Will this be a problem for me with signal strength and/or battery life?

Thanks for any help!

I too have had the echo problem. It is not on my end (I hear the caller ok) its on the other person's end. They hear themselves and it makes talking almost impossible. VZ has replaced the phone once, repaired it twice and the problem still existed. I found a funny thing with it though; it does not do it on earphone or on the handset by itself. I started using the wired earphone (trying to avoid the EM waves in the head)and one day when I disconnected the earpiece plug the problem went away. It now can use speaker with no echo. Go figure! I am waiting now to see if the echo comes back. So far, so good.
