Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

Is there really new software out-- these are my S/W versions after going to VZW yesterday

Took it the Verizon store yesterday (no issues - just wanted to check) and the tech told me there is new s/w version out and to come back in 10 minutes.

I got the phone back and really didn't notice any difference.

Anyway- here are my s/w id's

S/W Version 8720_01.17.03
PRL 50386

The tech must have meant the prl. That looks like the latest version of the prl, but it's the same firmware version as I have had since I got the phone.

The last time I got a firmware upgrade, I was told it takes 20 minutes just for the computer to do it, so I doubt it would be done in 10 minutes.
