E815 extended battery charging times

I previously upgraded from the V710 also with the extended life battery. The extended life battery charging inside the V710 took 5 hours to fully charge a depleted battery. The extended life battery charging inside the E815 only took 2 and 1/2 hours to charge a depleted battery. Is this normal? Are there improved charging systems in the E815?

can't speak for the extended but the regular battery only takes 2 hours. it's roughly exactly 2 hours at that. seems as if the normal takes 2, the extended should take 2 1/2. the charger power ratings are different if you wanna compare them. i think the E815 has a much more powerful charger. that and i think the E815's battery is made of a new material. it may be different than the older V710 battery.

yeah the battery in the v710 and the battery in the e815 is different. The e815 battery is newer, they made some changes to it... because it lasts longer than the v710 battery also.
