EVDO compared to 1x

I just called tech to ask them whats so special about the EVDO connection. They just said, all that is for is if u have V CAST, other than that 1x works fine too...

Well for mobile web and sending picture or multimedia msgs it'll be slightly slower over just 1x, but nothing worth the battery drain from having low service on EVDO
